A 14-year-old Mexican girl with an IQ of 162 dreams of working at NASA

Adhara Pérez Sánchez, a 14-year-old from Mexico, has an IQ of 162 and is already pursuing higher education in engineering and mathematics. The girl is from Mexico City and aims to join NASA.

At the age of three, she was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, which affected her speech and social skills. Because of this, according to those around her, she faced a lack of understanding from her peers and teachers during her childhood.

However, her mother observed remarkable cognitive abilities at home, where the girl memorized the entire periodic table and taught herself algebra out of boredom.

When emotional issues led to therapy, experts recommended an IQ test. The result was 162. For comparison, scientists Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein had IQs of 160.

This discovery revolutionized Sanchez’s educational path. She finished elementary school at age five, earned a bachelor’s degree at 11, and is now pursuing a master’s degree at 14.

The girl is passionate about space exploration. She has set her sights on joining NASA and hopes to one day participate in Mars exploration missions.
