Danish intelligence warns of possible sabotage against defense industry
Denmark’s Security and Intelligence Service (PET) has warned that the intelligence services of Russia, an aggressor state, are preparing sabotage operations against Denmark’s defense industry. According to YLE News, PET believes that defense companies involved in providing military aid to Ukraine could be particularly at risk.
Risk of arson
Emil Græsholm, head of counterintelligence at PET, said that Russia is, among other things, preparing to organize arson attacks. He made the warning public in an interview with the Danish newspaper Berlingske. Græsholm also commented on the situation in writing to Danish TV channel TV2.

Recruitment attempts
According to Græsholm, Russia has tried to recruit ordinary Danish citizens to carry out assigned tasks. In particular, people were allegedly encouraged through social media to photograph facilities.
Græsholm stressed that assistance to Russian intelligence services by Danes is extremely serious regardless of whether people act knowingly or unknowingly.
