A drone nearly struck Zelenskyy's plane as it was taking off from Moldova
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Støre stated that a drone nearly struck the plane carrying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the first lady as it was taking off from Moldova bound for Oslo.
Støre said that a drone “nearly struck Zelenskyy’s plane as it was taking off from Moldova” en route to Oslo.
“This is the reality he has to live with,” Støre added.
The Norwegian prime minister did not provide any further details and did not mention whether he had received this information personally from Zelenskyy or the Ukrainian side. It is also unclear from the statement whether the incident was intentional or rather accidental.
The prime minister also said that during a brief morning conversation, he asked Zelenskyy how his night had gone, and the Ukrainian president replied that he could not call it a good one—because he had been receiving reports about where the latest Russian strikes had hit.
“This is a very dramatic situation; it makes a strong impression,” Støre said.
According to “EP,” his remarks were reported by the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK.
