A former Chechen official has claimed that Muslims may be under "Moscow's control"

Ruslan Kutaev, the former deputy prime minister of Chechnya, stated in an interview with a Russian media outlet that Muslims living in Moscow could, at some point, take power into their own hands and establish a political order that serves their interests.

This is reported by Russian media.

According to him, millions of Muslims live in the Russian capital, and, as he claims, this community has significant potential for influence in the future. Kutaev also expressed the view that distrust of the current government is growing in Russia, and that social processes are allegedly becoming unstable.

Separately, he suggested that, depending on certain political developments, various population groups could more actively influence the situation in Moscow; however, these statements are personal political assessments and predictions.

Ukraine and Russia conducted a new prisoner of war exchange on the eve of Easter, but they were unable to agree on a larger number of releases. Kyiv states that it proposed expanding the lists, but the Russian side refused. Despite this, Ukraine expects the exchanges to continue.
