Estonia has blamed Russia for the arrival of Ukrainian drones

Estonia has blamed Russia for the arrival of Ukrainian drones

Responsibility for Ukrainian drones entering the airspace of the Baltic states lies entirely with Russia, which deliberately directs them toward Alliance territory using electronic warfare capabilities.

This was stated by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna ahead of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers, according to European Truth.

The Estonian diplomat noted that over the past few weeks, an increasing number of aerial objects have been detected in the territory of the Baltic states. Although these are physically Ukrainian UAVs, the root cause of the incidents is Russia’s aggressive war, which uses technological manipulation to alter the drones’ courses. According to Tsahkna, Moscow is staging these provocations with a specific political goal—to force Western allies to pressure Kyiv and weaken international support for Ukraine.

The Estonian Foreign Minister separately emphasized that Ukraine has the absolute and legitimate right to strike military targets deep within Russian territory, as they support the waging of an aggressive war. The official urged the Ukrainian Armed Forces to exercise greater caution when planning operations, but stressed that Putin will not succeed in dividing the West. Rather than halting Ukrainian long-range strikes, these incidents should serve as a direct incentive for NATO to intensify economic and military pressure on Russia.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, commenting on the incident involving the downing of the drone over the country’s territory, stated that this is a consequence of Russia’s war and provocations. He also emphasized that Ukraine has every right to strike Russian military targets.
