Estonia deported a Russian citizen for making threats against Ukrainians

Estonian authorities revoked the residence permit of a Russian citizen and deported him from the country; over the course of his stay, more than 250 incidents involving him had been recorded. He was also barred from entering the country for a period of ten years.

According to the Põhja Prefecture of the Police and Border Guard Board, the man regularly came into conflict with the law, used violence, and committed property crimes. A key factor in the decision to deport him was a call to the Emergency Center during which he openly expressed hatred and threatened Ukrainians.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that a residence permit entails an obligation to comply with the law, and the document is revoked if it poses a threat to public order or national security.
