Balochistan chief minister orders probe into irregularities in forest department recruitment
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has ordered an investigation into complaints about irregularities in recruitment for the forest department. He stated that the sale of government jobs in the province would not be allowed, and that ministers and secretaries would not be exempt from accountability if credible evidence of such practices emerges.

During a meeting of the secretaries’ committee, Bugti ordered an inquiry into complaints concerning employment in the forest department. According to him, people found guilty by an impartial investigation will face strict legal action. He also stressed that the provincial authorities would not compromise on the right of Balochistan’s youth to employment.

As Dawn reports, participants in the meeting reviewed the work of provincial departments, the progress of projects under the Annual Development Programme, and personnel recruitment procedures. Provincial ministers Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi and Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, and other officials attended.
AI-based recruitment
Bugti ordered the immediate implementation of the approved merit-based recruitment policy using artificial intelligence for all Grade 5 and higher positions. Testing is to be conducted locally with the assistance of the chief minister’s secretariat. He also ordered transparency and merit-based selection at all stages of employment and declared political pressure, favouritism, or influence unacceptable.
