The head of the Polish President's Office has been added to the Myrotvorets database

Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Office of the President of Poland Karol Nawrocki, has been added to the “Myrotvorets” database. The reason for this was his public statements in which he referred to the western regions of Ukraine as “Eastern Lesser Poland.”

In the profile published on the “Myrotvorets” website, Bogucki is labeled an “anti-Ukrainian propagandist.” The website’s administration claims that his actions show signs of an encroachment on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, contribute to the incitement of interethnic hostility, and may pose a threat to national security.

The center also called on law enforcement agencies to pay attention to the Polish official’s activities.

“The ‘Myrotvorets’ Center asks law enforcement agencies to consider this publication on the website as a statement that this citizen has committed deliberate acts directed against Ukraine’s national security, peace, the security of humanity, and the international legal order, as well as other offenses,” the website’s administration stated in a release.

The scandal arose after Bohutskyi’s speech in the Polish Sejm during a discussion of the Volhynia tragedy and the law on the Ukrainian National Pantheon. Commenting on the issue of honoring the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and Stepan Bandera, he stated that, in his opinion, this is inconsistent with European values, and also used the term “Eastern Lesser Poland” to refer to the western regions of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the term “Eastern Lesser Poland” was the official administrative name used by the Polish authorities during the interwar period (1918–1939) for the territories of the Lviv, Ternopil, and Stanislav Voivodeships, which were part of the Second Polish Republic. In contemporary Ukrainian political and public discourse, the use of this term in reference to the western regions of Ukraine is perceived as historically and politically sensitive.

This is reported on the website of the “Myrotvorets” Center.

As a reminder, Poland has criticized the government’s decision to declassify information about military aid to Ukraine.

Poland has commented on the transfer of Patriot missiles to Ukraine.

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that Warsaw has begun declassifying information about military aid provided to Ukraine following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
