This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science.

The delivery is being carried out as part of the Emergency Recovery Program, which is being implemented by the Government of Ukraine and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The set of equipment includes:

  • 3,920 personal computers (desktops);

  • 1,747 interactive whiteboards;

  • 1,422 laptops to support remote work for teachers in frontline areas.

The Ministry of Education noted that Japan has already implemented a number of other projects in Ukraine:

  • agricultural equipment (tractors, plows, seeders, harrows) for 12 vocational colleges in 2024;

  • tractors for 12 vocational agricultural colleges in 2025;

  • over 1 million copies of language and literature textbooks for 5th-grade students in the New Ukrainian School (NUS) in 2024;

  • computer, multimedia, and other equipment for 85 digital education centers in 2024.

The program aims to modernize educational infrastructure and equip Ukrainian educational institutions with modern technologies, particularly those located in frontline areas.

In addition, Switzerland will provide Zhytomyr with ten low-floor trolleybuses and allocate funds for the development of the city’s public transportation network and staff training.
