India announced a significant increase in economic cooperation with Russia

During a meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar announced a significant strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries.

The head of Indian diplomacy arrived in Russia to participate in a meeting of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economy, Science, Technology, and Culture.

During the talks, the parties discussed the further development of bilateral relations and economic ties between New Delhi and Moscow.

Japan and India held their first joint government event dedicated to the processing of critical minerals at the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi. About 130 people attended Friday’s meeting, including government officials and representatives of waste processing companies.
 
India has sharply increased its purchases of Russian oil. In June and July, the country imported more than 2.6 million barrels per day, a record high that accounted for more than half of India’s total oil imports.
