Iranian Telegram channels are threatening Ukraine with missile strikes
A pro-Iranian Telegram channel with nearly 400,000 subscribers is threatening ballistic missile strikes against Ukraine following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s latest statement regarding a strike on a ship involved in transporting military cargo to Russia.
Following the Ukrainian president’s remarks about a successful strike on a ship transporting military cargo between Russia and Iran, a number of Iran-linked Telegram channels began posting threats against Ukraine.
The authors of the posts are threatening retaliatory strikes with Iranian ballistic missiles.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to include provisions on sanctions against Iran in the draft legislation on sanctions against Russia—the aggressor state.
Tehran rejected the temporary ceasefire agreement proposed by the U.S., which was delivered to Iran by the Iraqi prime minister. Iranian authorities stated that the issue of control over the Strait of Hormuz must be resolved before any ceasefire can take place.
