The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that two armed individuals were neutralized in the northern part of the Gaza Strip after they crossed the ceasefire line.
According to the military, the incident occurred earlier that day. Soldiers from the Northern Brigade of the Gaza Division spotted two men who had crossed the so-called “yellow line”—the symbolic boundary between the two sides.
The army’s statement noted that these individuals “were approaching the soldiers in a manner that posed an immediate threat.” Following this, a decision was made to use force. The strike was carried out by the Israeli Air Force. “The Air Force struck and neutralized the terrorists to eliminate the threat,” the Israeli military stated.
No further details regarding the identities of those killed or possible additional circumstances have been reported at this time. The situation in the Gaza Strip remains tense, and similar incidents occur regularly even during periods of declared ceasefire.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hagset also stated that American troops in the Middle East are ready to resume combat operations if Iran does not agree to a peace deal.
At least two Iranian tankers managed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, likely using a detour route despite U.S. surveillance.
