Israeli settlers surround Palestinian home in Qusra
Israeli settlers, supported by Israeli forces, surrounded a Palestinian home in the village of Qusra south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. At least four Palestinians remain trapped inside the house, while settlers set fire to nearby Palestinian land, Al Jazeera English reports.
According to the channel's journalists, coordination is underway to allow ambulances to reach the area and evacuate one injured person.
Siege of homes in Ras al-Ayn
Over the past month, Qusra has faced escalating settler violence. In July, settlers set fire to a mosque in the village. Since August 9, they have kept three Palestinian homes under siege in the Ras al-Ayn area, restricting access to water, electricity and other essential resources.

A resident of one of the blocked homes, Louay Abu Raida, told Al Jazeera that people cannot freely leave their homes or return to them. According to him, relatives and friends are also not allowed to bring food or visit the blocked residents.
Closed military zone
Abu Raida said residents must coordinate with the mayor of Qusra to obtain food and other supplies, and approval can take from three to four days. He described being in isolation as a “nightmare” and said people have been unable to sleep peacefully for 21 days, as they monitor security cameras at night for fear of a settler attack.
Israeli forces declared the area a closed military zone and restricted Palestinians from entering and leaving. A gate was installed at the main entrance to Qusra, and those heading to the village are forced to use alternative routes that Israeli forces often block. On Wednesday, the Israeli army installed three new roadblocks around the Ras al-Ayn hilltop, cutting off the homes located there from the area below.
