Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky invited Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius to visit Ukraine in the near future. The invitation was extended during a conversation between the two prime ministers on July 21.

Koretsky thanked his Lithuanian counterpart for his consistent support of Ukraine, according to “European Truth,” citing a post on his Facebook page. The two sides also discussed cooperation in the energy sector, particularly the diversification of liquefied natural gas supplies and support for preparations for winter.

Other topics of discussion included increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, developing defense cooperation, and implementing the Drone Deal initiative. Koretsky stated that Ukraine has high hopes for Lithuania’s presidency of the EU Council in 2027 and its support for Ukraine’s European integration.

In June, Lithuania and Ukraine signed a memorandum of understanding on the creation of the joint “Brave Lithuania” program, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the development and implementation of defense innovations. Lithuania will also allocate an additional 4 million euros for the installation of solar power plants and energy storage systems in Ukrainian government facilities.
