Lee Hyoung-il to become South Korea’s deputy prime minister and finance minister

The South Korean government on Sunday, August 30, 2026, announced major personnel changes in the Cabinet. Lee Hyoung-il, who previously served as first vice finance minister, became the new deputy prime minister and minister of economy and finance.
