Lithuania will ban nearly 600 Russians who fought against Ukraine from entering the Schengen Area
Lithuania plans to ban nearly 600 Russian citizens who participated in the war against Ukraine from entering its territory and the Schengen Area.

According to the Lithuanian Migration Department, the country has already identified about 600 Russian military personnel involved in hostilities against Ukraine.
“We plan to quickly add all these individuals to the list of persons unwelcome in Lithuania and to the Schengen Area information system with an entry ban,” the agency noted.
According to the plan, the entry ban into Lithuania will be in effect for 10 years, and into the Schengen Area for 5 years, with the possibility of extension.
Earlier, the European Union also began discussing broader restrictions on Russian citizens who participated in the war against Ukraine.
Lithuania will also receive over a hundred air defense missiles from the U.S. following the State Department’s approval of the relevant agreement.
