The Budzia Glacier in Sichuan has been recognized by Guinness World Records for its elevation difference
The Budzia Glacier in the Xizang Autonomous Region has been certified by Guinness World Records as the hanging glacier with the greatest vertical elevation difference, according to ECNS.
The glacier is located in So County, Nagqu City. It is the centerpiece of the Qiongxun Valley tourist area on Budzia Mountain, which has an average elevation of over 4,500 meters.

The area features rare valley landscapes and pristine coniferous forests. According to local tourism authorities, the tourist zone combines natural landscapes with cultural resources. Its development must take into account nature conservation, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the growth of tourist traffic.
A standardized visitor center has already been established in the tourism zone, and the supporting infrastructure is gradually being improved. The Su County authorities plan to further develop smart tourism services and promote sustainable tourism.
