Macron Announced the Dates for the First Exercises of the Coalition of the Willing
The first joint military exercises by the countries of the “Coalition of the Willing” will be held in October and November 2026.
According to the French leader, the upcoming exercises are intended to demonstrate the allies’ readiness to act together and strengthen their operational coordination. Macron also emphasized the importance of demonstrating resolve regarding future security guarantees for Ukraine.
“It is very important to continue demonstrating our resolve and readiness when it comes to the security guarantees we have committed to. And the full-scale exercises that our coalition will conduct in October and November will demonstrate its operational readiness and ability to act after hostilities cease, and this is very important. This is one of the key elements of the relevant negotiations, once Ukraine decides to hold them. And it is extremely important that we work collectively on this,” Macron emphasized.
These are the exercises that were announced at the previous meeting of the “coalition of the willing” in July. At that time, it was reported that in the fall, approximately 1,500 military personnel from the United Kingdom and France would arrive in Poland in September to participate in international exercises involving coalition countries.

As a reminder, on the night of August 16, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a number of key military targets belonging to Russian forces in the temporarily occupied territories.
On the night of August 17, the Ukrainian military struck targets associated with the storage, preparation, and launch of attack drones, as well as their control systems in Crimea and the Kherson region.
