In the Odesa region, traffic to border crossings with Moldova has been restricted due to an attack by the Russian Federation

In the Odesa region, traffic on a section of the Odesa–Reni highway was temporarily restricted following a Russian attack on the night of August 9. As a result, access to some border crossing points with Moldova has been hampered.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine noted that, as a result of the Russian strikes, travel to and from certain border crossing points in the direction of Odesa is currently impossible.

Border guards urged citizens to take these restrictions into account when planning their trips.

The State Border Guard Service will provide further updates on the resumption of traffic.

This was reported by the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

As a reminder, Moldova may face an acute electricity shortage.

June’s heatwave in Europe led to significant losses in agriculture. The cost of the destroyed grain crops is estimated at more than 2 billion euros, with farmers in France and Hungary suffering the most.
