NATO plans to present defense strategy against Russia in Poland — Interia
NATO plans to present a new defense strategy called the “Theory of Victory” in Poland on October 12. As Interia reports, citing Bloomberg, the document is to be presented by NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Alexus Grynkewich.
Drones and artificial intelligence
The strategy concerns the Alliance’s actions in the event of aggression by the Russian Federation — an aggressor state — against one of the NATO countries. According to Bloomberg, in such a scenario, allies could use not only conventional weapons but also combat drones and artificial intelligence-based systems.
As the outlet notes, the goal may be to quickly defeat Russian forces should they attack Alliance countries. The document is also intended to demonstrate NATO’s readiness for such a scenario.

Deterring aggression
Grynkewich’s spokesperson, Colonel Martin O’Donnell, told Bloomberg that the commander’s concept is to maintain NATO’s advantage. According to him, the Alliance must create conditions now to deter aggression and, if necessary, prevail in the event of an attack. O’Donnell described NATO’s plans as purely defensive.
At the same time, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had previously stated that there were no signs that Russia was preparing a conventional attack, but Europe must be ready for such a development.
