Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit the United States this coming Saturday. This will be his first trip to the U.S. since the start of the war against Iran.
The visit comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and active diplomatic contacts between Israel and the U.S.
According to a source, Netanyahu wants to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, but it is currently unknown whether this meeting will take place.
According to media reports, Netanyahu is expected to participate in events commemorating U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, a supporter of Israel who died on Saturday. The date of the funeral has not been officially announced.
Yesterday, a U.S. official stated that no meeting between Netanyahu and Trump is scheduled.
If this trip takes place, it will be Netanyahu’s first visit to the U.S. since the start of the war against Iran. His last visit took place in February, about two weeks before the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran.
