Germany will not participate in the first exercises of the Coalition of the Resolute in Poland

Germany will not participate in the first command post exercises of the “Coalition of the Resolute,” which are planned to be held in Poland in preparation for a future mission to support Ukraine.

This was reported by the dpa news agency, citing sources in the German government. According to the agency’s sources, the first “small-scale command post exercises” will take place without German participation.

The decision to hold the first multinational force exercises was made during a meeting of the “Coalition of the Resolute” in Paris. The coalition includes about 35 countries that support Ukraine.

The exercises are expected to take place in Poland. According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, their goal is to prepare for providing concrete security guarantees for Ukraine and the entire region following a possible ceasefire.

The command-post exercises will focus on practicing decision-making procedures, command and control, and troop movements without the use of military equipment or field maneuvers.
