A Polish bus was involved in a traffic accident in Hungary: 12 people were killed

In Hungary, a tour bus with Polish license plates veered off the M3 highway into a ditch and overturned on the night of August 16.

There were 57 passengers and two drivers on board the bus. As a result of the accident, 12 people were killed and at least 10 were injured.

According to preliminary reports from the Hungarian police, the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. He has been taken into custody.

Rescue workers and law enforcement officers are on the scene of the accident, working to determine the full circumstances of the tragedy.

Earlier, a community head in the Donetsk region died in a traffic accident.

As a reminder, the Pryluky City and District Court in Chernihiv Oblast sentenced a former police officer to eight years in prison for a fatal traffic accident that killed a six-year-old child.

In Lviv Oblast, a 68-year-old driver of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, who was under the influence of alcohol, fatally struck a Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemember. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
