Poland supports Ukraine's accession to the EU without reservations
Poland supports Ukraine’s path toward European integration and does not impose any additional conditions or reservations regarding this process.
This was stated by the head of the Polish Embassy, who emphasized that Warsaw supports Ukraine’s movement toward the European Union and views it as an important element of common European policy.
“I am, of course, talking here about European integration, which Poland supports and to which Poland aspires—the integration of Ukraine into the European Union. But there are no ‘buts’ or ‘reservations’ here. We want this unconditionally, and we want this integration to continue. And I don’t think that would be an exaggeration,” the diplomat said.
Lukasevich added that Poland joined the EU under the same model and urged people to remember the principles, though he emphasized that the conditions for Ukraine and Poland are completely different.
“If you adapt your country, your business, and the principles that were the foundation of our success, you have a great chance. Despite all the differences we have now, you need to achieve your own success in partnership with other European Union member states, first and foremost with Poland,” the chargé d’affaires emphasized.
