A drone once again violated Moldova's airspace during the Russian Federation's attack on the Odesa region
On the morning of September 17, a drone once again violated Moldova’s airspace. According to preliminary reports, it was one of the Russian drones involved in the attack on Ukraine’s Odesa region.
According to the Moldovan Ministry of Defense, at 8:56 a.m., the UAV entered the country’s airspace from the Odesa region—coming from the direction of Bilyayivka toward the Moldovan village of Tudora. Two minutes later, at 8:58 a.m., the drone flew back into Ukraine from the Palanka area toward Lake Davydiv Lyman.

Ukraine and Moldova reacted with caution to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre’s statement that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plane may have been threatened by a drone during its flight to Oslo.
As a reminder, the operation of three border checkpoints on the border between Ukraine and Moldova will be temporarily adjusted.
