The trip to Kyiv by Trump's envoys, Witkoff and Kushner, has been called into question

The visit by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv, scheduled for September 5–6, is currently under discussion. According to media reports, the date of the trip to Ukraine may be changed due to Witkoff’s concerns.

U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, had planned to visit Moscow and Kyiv on September 5–6, but Witkoff “began to have second thoughts.” This prompted discussions about alternative plans. The Kyiv Independent reported this on September 4, citing a source familiar with the matter.

“The Russians don’t want them to come here to Kyiv, and Witkoff is always sensitive to Russian sentiment,” the source said.

“They’re being told there that it’s dangerous,” the source added.
