South Korean President Lee Jae-myung attends Stray Kids concert in Mexico City — Korea Herald

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung attended a concert by the K-pop group Stray Kids at GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, Mexico. The head of state is in the Mexican capital on a state visit, Korea Herald reports.

Lee Jae-myung shared a nine-second video on social media platform X showing Stray Kids performing the song God’s Menu. In the post, he wrote that at the concert he felt the power of K-pop, which presents Korea to the world as a cultural nation.

The president also thanked Park Jin-young, chair of the Popular Culture Committee and founder of the agency to which Stray Kids belongs.

Visit to Zona Rosa

Before the concert, Lee Jae-myung greeted K-pop fans in the Zona Rosa district, which the publication describes as a hub of Korean cuisine in Mexico City. According to An Gwi-ryeong, deputy spokesperson for the presidential administration, he spoke with people who had stopped to eat Korean food before the group’s performance.

She also said that the president had lunch at the Mexican restaurant Tacos Atarantados. Before the concert in Mexico City, Stray Kids performed in Colombia, Brazil and Argentina as part of their Latin American tour.
