The U.S. has stated that shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is safe

The U.S. has stated that shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is safe

The Strait of Hormuz remains open to civilian shipping, and maritime traffic is proceeding without disruption. This was stated by the United States, which emphasized that there are no restrictions on the passage of commercial vessels.

According to CENTCOM, U.S. military forces are deployed in the region and are ready to ensure freedom of navigation on this international waterway.

The command emphasized that Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz.

Any threats, harassment of vessels, or arbitrary statements from Tehran are unfounded and do not affect the stability of traffic.

On the night of July 12, Iran completely closed the Strait of Hormuz to shipping due to vessels that allegedly failed to comply with orders from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Prior to this, the White House had already begun preparing for a potential large-scale exchange of military strikes with Tehran in the event of attacks on merchant ships.

On the eve of the closure, the U.S. side attempted to resolve the conflict through diplomatic channels and demanded that Iran provide public guarantees of safe transit for civilian vessels.

Israel has shared intelligence with the U.S. regarding Iran’s new plan concerning Trump.

Israel is waiting for a signal from Trump to strike Iran.
