Tallinn has proposed using Linnahall as a temporary shooting range
The Tallinn city government has proposed making the unused Linnahall ice arena available to the volunteer Estonian Defense League for the possible establishment of a temporary indoor shooting range.
Tallinn Deputy Mayor Kristjan Järvan said he had made this proposal to the Tallinn District of the Estonian Defense League. The facility can be used if both the district and the Estonian Defense Investment Center approve the plan.
According to Järvan, there is currently no shooting range in the Estonian capital for members of the Estonian Defense League. For training, they travel to Männiku, which is located outside the city.

The city is ready to consider investing in the conversion of the ice arena into an indoor shooting range if the Tallinn District of the Defense League and the Estonian Defense Investment Center confirm the need for such a facility. The cost of the work and technical details have not yet been determined.
As the deputy mayor noted, if created, the shooting range would be temporary and would operate until a decision is made regarding the long-term future of Linnahall. He added that there could be a gap of several years between the city’s and the private sector’s finalization of future plans, during which the complex could be used temporarily.
