Trump announced a major business deal with Lukashenko's regime
The United States is working to conclude a large-scale agreement on the purchase of potash fertilizers from Belarus. This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to the U.S. leader, the price of Belarusian products will be significantly lower than what the U.S. currently pays Canada, which will be a beneficial solution for American farmers and ranchers.
In March of this year, the Trump administration lifted sanctions against the companies “Belarusian Potash Company” and “Belaruskali” in response to the release of a group of political prisoners by Alexander Lukashenko’s regime.

U.S. Special Envoy John Cole stated that Belarus could play an important role in supplying potash fertilizers to the U.S.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit to forfeit the assets of Belarusian state-owned potash fertilizer producer “Belaruskali” to the state. The assets claimed for transfer to the state treasury belong to a sanctioned entity and include corporate rights, funds, railroad cars, and potash fertilizers.
