Trump announced the imminent conclusion of the operation in Iran — WSJ

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the active phase of the military campaign against Iran, known as Operation "Epic Fury," is coming to an end.

This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, the American leader predicted that U.S. troops would withdraw from the conflict within the coming weeks.

According to the head of state, U.S. forces have accomplished their objectives and are ready to wind down the mission.

U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that a military presence in the region is no longer critically necessary to achieve Washington’s goals.

“We will be leaving very soon,” U.S. President Donald Trump assured media representatives.

He clarified that the United States expects to “leave Iran in 2–3 weeks,” indicating a transition to the final stage of the operation.

A key aspect of the statement was that U.S. President Donald Trump sees no need to sign an official “agreement” with Tehran for a ceasefire.

In his view, the military success was so decisive that diplomatic formalities are not a prerequisite for the withdrawal of troops.

U.S. President Donald Trump cited the complete neutralization of the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions as the campaign’s main achievement.

He is convinced that the airstrikes set the country’s scientific and technical potential back by decades.

According to the American leader, the nuclear threat from Iran has effectively been eliminated for the long term.

He assured journalists that Tehran “will need 15–20 years to rebuild what we destroyed” during the massive attacks.

Despite the end of hostilities, U.S. President Donald Trump reserved the right to take decisive action in the event of any attempts at retaliation.

However, at the moment, the administration is focused on domestic issues and stabilizing global energy markets.

As a reminder, Trump stated that Iran had offered him the position of supreme leader.

Prior to this, U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized NATO member countries, accusing them of failing to support Washington in its confrontation with Tehran.
