Trump cuts short stay at Camp David — Anadolu Agency
US President Donald Trump ended his weekend at the Camp David residence in Maryland early and was scheduled to return to the White House on the evening of September 20. The reason for the change in the president's schedule was not disclosed, Anadolu Agency reports.
Return to Washington
The White House updated Trump's schedule, indicating his flight to Washington aboard the presidential helicopter Marine One. According to USA Today journalist Joey Garrison, who is part of the presidential press pool, the helicopter was expected to arrive at the Ellipse near the White House at around 7:00 p.m. local time, or 23:00 GMT.
Airspace incident
Earlier that day, an F-16 fighter jet of the North American Aerospace Defense Command intercepted a small aircraft that entered restricted airspace over Thurmont, Maryland, near Camp David. The aircraft was safely escorted out of the area. The US First Air Force said that the incident posed no danger to people on the ground and did not indicate a threat to the president or the residence.

State Department warning
Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, the US State Department urged Americans outside the region to seriously reconsider plans to travel to or transit through it. US citizens in the Middle East were advised to remain especially vigilant and prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other disruptions.
The State Department also said that Iran-backed Houthis are conducting hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports. The department warned of the possibility of rapid escalation and noted that Iran and the groups it supports may target US interests, businesses, institutions, and locations associated with Americans around the world.
