Trump said the CIA had reported on the sexual orientation of Iran's new leader

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that, according to the Central Intelligence Agency, Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is allegedly gay. At the same time, same-sex relationships remain illegal in Iran.

This was reported by CNN, citing an interview with Fox News.

When asked by the host whether the CIA had reported that Ayatollah Khamenei Jr. is gay, the U.S. president replied:

"Well, they said so, but I don't know if it's just them. I think a lot of people say that. It has a negative impact on his prospects in this country," Trump said.

However, he did not specify what evidence supports the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency’s claims.

It should be noted that homosexuality is illegal in Iran, as same-sex relationships are considered a violation of Islamic values and are punishable under the country’s Sharia law.

We should also add that it was the New York Post that reported that Trump had been informed about Khamenei Jr.’s possible sexual orientation. According to the publication, the U.S. leader couldn’t contain his emotions and laughed out loud when he heard this.

A former CIA employee claims the U.S. is arming terrorists to protect Israel’s interests.

We also reported that former CIA analyst Larry Johnson appeared on CNN in Turkey, where he sharply criticized Israel’s policies.
