Trump supporter Laura Lumer apologized to the Ukrainian people
Trump supporter Laura Loomer, who recently visited Ukraine, apologized to Ukrainians for spreading Russian propaganda.
The MAGA influencer said she regrets her comments about Ukraine, which were made during Donald Trump’s election campaign.
“I am very ashamed of some of the things I said. I want to apologize to the people of Ukraine. Ukrainians were very kind to me. I doubt I would have been welcomed the same way in Moscow. If I had criticized the Russian government, security service agents would probably have tracked me down right at the hotel,” Lumer said in an interview with journalist Marichka Padalko.
She also added that she does not believe Russian dictator Vladimir Putin would have agreed to grant her an interview, whereas Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with Laura Lumer.
As a reminder, American blogger and ally of U.S. President Donald Trump, Laura Lummer, stated that she had changed her attitude toward Russia’s war against Ukraine after a trip to the country. According to her, she had previously spread false claims while under the influence of Russian propaganda.
The Office of the President stated that American blogger Laura Loomer’s visit to Ukraine was yet another example of how firsthand exposure to the realities of war helps change perspectives and break free from the influence of Russian propaganda. The blogger had previously publicly acknowledged that she had been mistaken in her assessments of Ukraine.
