In Ghana, TV presenter Abena Kyei Boakye becomes Glow ambassador — MyJoyOnline

In Accra, Ghana, TV presenter Abena Kyei Boakye was introduced as the new ambassador for the Ghanaian laundry detergent brand Glow Washing Powder. The ceremony took place on Thursday evening at the ESP Hotel in the Labone district, MyJoyOnline reports.

Partnership with the brand

Madam Sweetie Akwa spoke on behalf of the CEO of Glow Soaps & Detergents, Nana Akua Darkowaa, also known as Faustina Darko. She said that the company seeks to produce effective and affordable cleaning products, while Boakye's appointment is expected to raise awareness of Glow Washing Powder among consumers across the country.

Glow Soaps & Detergents produces household and commercial cleaning products, including bar and liquid soap, bleach, floor and glass cleaners, sanitizers, and disinfectants. The company is expanding its distribution network through retailers, direct sales, and promotional campaigns.

Remarks at the presentation

The official unveiling was conducted by presidential adviser and Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President Kofi Okyere Darko, known as KOD. He noted that successful partnerships between a brand and a public figure emerge when their values, audience, and image naturally align. According to him, Boakye has a recognizable media presence in Ghana that resonates with audiences.

Abena Kyei Boakye herself described the collaboration as the beginning of a partnership with a brand she associates with cleanliness, freshness, and confidence. The event was hosted by Joy Prime presenter Kpekpo Maxwell Justice, known as KMJ. Comedian Hogan also performed as part of the programme.
