Adisadel College alumni in Ghana launch 4.6 million cedi water project
In Ghana, Adisadel College graduates from the class of 2002 have launched the 4.6 million Ghanaian cedi Clean Water project. The initiative is intended to provide the school with a sustainable source of drinking water and help address the problem of periodic water shortages for students and staff, MyJoyOnline reports.
Water and environmental education
The project was launched as part of anniversary events held by the class of 2002. It provides not only for the creation of water infrastructure but also for teaching students the economical use of water, sustainable development principles, and responsible attitudes toward natural resources.
Clint Yoosi Boa-Amponsem said that safe and reliable water is essential for human dignity and effective learning. According to him, the project is meant to give students an opportunity to learn more about water conservation and environmental responsibility while addressing an important infrastructure issue at the school.

The problem of water shortages
Adisadel College principal Samuel Agudogo called the initiative timely. He said that disruptions to the water supply sometimes affect the educational process: students have to leave their regular activities to look for water, which may cause them to miss lessons.
Agudogo expressed gratitude to the class of 2002 and noted that the school hopes to connect both the junior and senior schools to a reliable source of drinking water.
Edmond Boateng, Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Ghana, urged the initiative's participants to support its implementation through clear planning, fundraising, appointing responsible persons, and regular updates for group members and project supporters.
