A 52-year-old man found dead in Ghana, police investigate circumstances — MyJoyOnline
In Ghana, in Assin-Amoabeng, a suburb of Nyankomasi Ahenkuro in the Assin South District of the Central Region, 52-year-old Baba Ibrahim, also known as Alhaji Nagode, was found dead. Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the death, which is preliminarily being treated as a suspected suicide, MyJoyOnline reports.
Report to police
According to the deceased's 14-year-old daughter, on Monday morning her father asked her to take the younger child to school and return for money for food. When the girl returned about half an hour later, she found her father showing no signs of life and called community residents for help.
Local assembly member Ekow Sadik Ayidu told the Ghana News Agency that police had been informed about the incident. At the time of reporting, law enforcement officers were taking the body to the morgue.

Investigation continues
A police source said investigators had already begun establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident. Baba Ibrahim was a farmer and spiritual practitioner, and was also known in the community for speaking out against illegal mining and environmental damage.
It is noted that he was involved in a court case with one of the community's residents, the hearing of which was due to take place on Tuesday. The deceased is survived by seven children, the youngest of whom is five years old.
