In Greece, a drunk driver rammed through the gate of a military base
A 52-year-old man was detained in Greece after, according to law enforcement officials, he drove his car while intoxicated and rammed the main entrance to a military base in the city of Argos-Orestiko.
According to preliminary reports, the driver did not slow down before the security barrier, knocked it down, and drove onto the military base grounds.
No one was injured in the incident, although military personnel who were near the entrance narrowly avoided being struck.
Law enforcement officers detained the man, and the relevant authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
