Pig’s head reportedly brought to mosque in Kaunas during prayer
In Lithuania’s Kaunas, the country’s second-largest city, a pig’s head was reportedly brought to a mosque during Friday prayer, according to local media reports. A group of bikers also gathered near the religious building, chanting “Lithuania,” playing music and making noise.

As Anadolu Agency reports, citing Lithuanian broadcaster LRT, the bikers were in Ramybės Park near the mosque while Muslims were praying. A video circulated on social media shows a group of bikers near the mosque during prayer: they chant and play music.

The incident sparked outrage among members of the local Muslim community. A woman interviewed by Kas vyksta Kaune called the event shocking and stressed that people come to the mosque to pray.
Police investigation
No significant confrontation between the bikers and members of the Muslim community was reported. Additional police forces were deployed near the mosque. Law enforcement officers are also examining the circumstances of the incident under a provision of Lithuania’s Criminal Code concerning possible incitement of hatred against a group of people.
