In the city of Hervey Bay, located in the Fraser Coast region of Queensland, Australia, a 31-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Tuesday evening, August 25.
Circumstances of the collision
According to police, as ABC News Australia reports, at about 6:20 p.m., a Subaru Liberty hit the man on Murphy Street in the Point Vernon area.
The pedestrian suffered critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene on Murphy Street.

Police investigation
According to law enforcement, the 24-year-old driver of the car and a 24-year-old female passenger were not injured in the incident.
