Lebanon reported 11 deaths as a result of Israeli airstrikes — Deutsche Welle
At least 11 people were killed in new Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Saturday. According to Deutsche Welle, these are the deadliest strikes since the framework ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah was signed nearly two months ago.
One of the strikes hit the outskirts of the village of Ansar. Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported seven dead and two wounded; among the dead were three children and two women. The Lebanese state news agency NNA reported that the dawn strike hit a house and destroyed it. The DPA news agency, citing local residents, reported that the building was being used as a Hezbollah base.
Another airstrike hit the village of Deir ez-Zahrani: according to Lebanese sources, four people were killed there, and another 17 were wounded. NNA also reported strikes near the strategic Ali-Taher hill, which overlooks part of the southern city of Nabatiyeh and key roads leading to it.

The Israeli military confirmed strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Israeli officials stated that this was a response to an attack by the group on Israeli forces.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the strikes and called on Israel to halt the escalation. He stated that the seven people killed in Ansari were not part of military infrastructure, and that the children and women killed were not military targets.
Hezbollah stated that the Israeli attacks and violations would receive an appropriate response. The group also called on the Lebanese authorities to halt negotiations with Israel, which it described as “humiliating.”
