Another relative of General Chaika died in Moscow following the explosion

Yulia Kirilova, a relative of General Alexander Chaika, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, likely died from injuries sustained in an explosion at a restaurant in central Moscow. According to media reports, the 30-year-old woman sustained severe injuries to her chest and abdomen and died several days after the incident.

Yulia Kirilova was the wife of Danil Kirilov—General Alexander Chaika’s nephew on his wife’s side. On the day of the explosion, Telegram channels linked to Russian security forces published lists of the victims. They listed “Yulia V., 30 years old.” As the publication notes, the woman’s age and name match the information about Yulia Kirilova. According to leaks from Russian databases, she turned 30 in July. The letter “V” in the list of victims is likely the first letter of her patronymic.

After the explosion, the woman was hospitalized. Reports on the victims indicated that she had sustained “multiple injuries to the chest and abdomen.” According to government records, Yulia Kirilova may have died on August 4—three days after the explosion. The publication also noted that the woman had not logged into her Telegram account since July 31.

Who else from the general’s family was at the restaurant

Yulia Kirilova was the daughter-in-law of Yevdokiya Kirilova, who was also injured in the explosion. Russian media had previously reported on her injuries. Thus, according to “Verstka,” the identities of six relatives and friends of General Chaika who were in the restaurant at the time of the explosion have already been established. Among them are both those who died and those who were injured.

In addition to Yulia Kirilova, the general’s son-in-law, Danilo Peredriy, and his colleague, Major General Valery Plokhotnyuk, were killed. The general’s daughter, Maria Peredriy, his niece, Evdokia Kirilova, and Chaika’s father-in-law, Alexander Peredriy, were injured.

Thus, the explosion at the Moscow restaurant affected several people from the Russian general’s inner circle at once. At the same time, information regarding Yulia Kirilova’s death is currently based on data from Russian registries and information analyzed by “Verstka.”
