Three women die in New South Wales in one day — ABC News Australia
According to ABC News Australia, three women died in three separate incidents in the Australian state of New South Wales over 24 hours, which the outlet describes as likely related to domestic violence. Women aged 90 and 23 were fatally stabbed in Bondi Beach in Sydney and Kooringal in the city of Wagga Wagga. The body of a third woman, who police preliminarily estimated to be in her 70s, was found at a property in the Northern Tablelands region.
Death in Bondi Beach
At about 17:15 on Saturday, emergency services arrived at an apartment in Bondi Beach, where they found a 90-year-old woman with stab wounds to her torso. Paramedics treated her, but she died at the scene.
A 47-year-old man known to the deceased was arrested in the apartment. He was charged with domestic violence-related murder. The man was refused bail and was due to appear before the local bail court on Sunday.

Investigation into two other deaths
In the Mole River area, west of Tenterfield, police were called at about 21:30 on Saturday following reports of a domestic violence incident. According to police, a 37-year-old man entered a house, attempted to steal a car and assaulted the 74-year-old homeowner.
After arresting the man, police searched a neighbouring property and found the body of a woman believed to be in her 70s. Her identity has not yet been formally established. Police also said that a house on the property was partially damaged by fire.
In Kooringal, police arrived at a house on Ziegler Avenue at about 11:45, where they found the body of a 23-year-old woman after a fatal stabbing. An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene but was later released without charge. At about 20:30, officers arrested a 31-year-old man at a nearby house; he was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where investigative actions are continuing. Police said all those involved in the incident knew each other.
