Pakistan court issues arrest warrants for ex-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Gandapur — Dawn
An additional district and sessions court in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Tuesday issued arrest warrants for former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in a case concerning an alleged audio recording leak.
Failure of the accused to appear
As Dawn reports, the decision was made by Additional District and Sessions Judge Hakim Khan Bahar. It was prompted by Gandapur and other accused persons failing to appear at a hearing in the case.

Due to the absence of the accused, the prosecution was unable to record statements from its witnesses. The court took into account the failure of the participants in the proceedings to appear and ordered the issuance of arrest warrants for the former provincial head.
Next hearing
The further hearing in the case was postponed until October 17. Proceedings over the alleged audio recording leak were registered at Golra police station in Islamabad against Ali Amin Gandapur and other individuals.
