Man killed in South Africa after serial murder accusations — TimesLIVE
In the city of Emalahleni, South Africa, a man named Vusimusi Radebe was beaten to death, according to his family, after local residents suspected him of involvement in the murders of women in Kempton Park. Attack on the way home
According to the publication, Radebe was walking from his grandmother's home in KwaGuqa to the Linville area of Emalahleni when he was stopped by residents. They asked who he was and where he lived. The man reportedly said that he had recently moved to Emalahleni from Kempton Park.
Nonlangla Matobela, a relative of the deceased, said that Radebe returned from Kempton Park about a month ago after his parents retired. She said the family considers him innocent and does not understand what the attackers' suspicions were based on. According to her, even if there were suspicions, people should have contacted law enforcement rather than deciding the man's fate themselves.

Police investigation
Vosman police said they received a complaint about vigilantism on Saturday and arrived at the scene. There, law enforcement officers found a man with visible injuries who, according to preliminary information, had been beaten by a group of residents. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo said that the motive for the attack has not yet been established and is under investigation. He stressed that police oppose vigilantism and that participants in such attacks will face criminal liability.
Murders in Ekurhuleni
Over the past two months, the bodies of nine women have been found in Ekurhuleni, prompting police to increase resources for the investigation. At the same time, law enforcement officers have not yet established whether all these murders are connected. Mpumalanga provincial police commissioner Aphaphia Modise said that all available resources would be deployed to search for the attackers.
