Thanks to Ukrainians, Poland's economy grew by 2.7%
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released statistics on the contribution of Ukrainian citizens to the development of the Polish economy. According to the data, the employment rate among Ukrainians in Poland in 2024 was 78%.
According to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the labor and entrepreneurial activities of Ukrainians contributed an additional 2.7% to Poland’s GDP growth.
Currently, 966,000 Ukrainian citizens are officially employed in the country.
Ukrainians are also actively developing their own businesses. In recent years, they have established more than 100,000 companies.
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that these statistical figures reflect real business initiatives and innovations.
Ukrainian citizens who have found refuge in Poland are actively integrating into the country’s economic life, working, establishing businesses, and contributing to the development of the Polish economy.
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that Ukrainians, together with Polish society, are laying the foundation for a strong shared future.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, approximately 4,000 Ukrainian healthcare workers have been able to obtain the right to work in Poland through a simplified procedure.
Meanwhile, Włodzimierz Czaryst, Marshal of the Polish Sejm, criticized politicians who opposed the transfer of five missiles for the Patriot systems to Ukraine, calling such a reaction “absurd.”
