In Romania, near the village of Gropean in Braila County, debris from an object believed to be a drone was discovered. A fire broke out after the object crashed onto farmland.

On the morning of Tuesday, September 29, the Romanian Ministry of Defense received a report about the discovery of debris from an object that may have been a drone. It crashed in the area of the Great Braila Island near Gropean.

A local resident reported the crash during the night. According to him, a fire broke out after the crash but later went out on its own. There have been no reports of injuries or property damage.

Teams from the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Romanian Intelligence Service arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and intend to examine the recovered fragments. In addition, a special task force from the Ministry of Defense was dispatched to the incident site to survey the area.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense noted that radar systems did not detect any unauthorized incursions into Romania’s airspace last night.
