Seoul hosts seminar for Korean companies on entering the US market — Korea Herald

In Seoul, South Korea, the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AmCham) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) held the eighth annual Doing Business in the US seminar for South Korean companies expanding operations in the United States. The event at KCCI headquarters brought together more than 300 government officials, business representatives and investment professionals, Korea Herald reports.

Regulation and staffing issues

Participants discussed the experience of Korean businesses in the United States, as well as practical issues related to entering the US market: employee visas, real estate, cross-border financial transactions and hiring local specialists. Executives and experts stressed that, alongside capital investment, companies need to plan in advance for staffing, regulatory compliance and cooperation with local partners.

AmCham Chairman and CEO James Kim said that economic relations between the United States and South Korea are increasingly shaped by investment, technology, innovation and supply chain resilience. KCCI Executive Vice Chairman Kim Jong-il noted that competitive products and technologies must be accompanied by a thorough understanding of local regulations and business conditions.
