In the U.S., more than 8 million people took to the streets in massive protests under the slogan “No to Kings”

On Saturday, March 28, mass protests organized by the No Kings movement took place across the United States and abroad to oppose the policies of President Donald Trump’s administration. According to organizers’ estimates, at least 8 million people participated in more than 3,300 events.

This is reported by the BBC and CBS.

Protests took place in nearly all major U.S. cities, smaller towns across the country, as well as in international hubs such as Paris and London. Participants spoke out against Trump’s policies, particularly regarding the war in Iran, immigration laws, and the rising cost of living.

One of the largest events took place in Minnesota, where ICE agents killed Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti in January. Their deaths sparked a wave of outrage and nationwide protests against the administration’s immigration policies.

“Trump wants to rule us like a tyrant. But this is America, and power belongs to the people, not to those who want to become kings or their billionaire cronies,” the organizers stated.

A White House spokesperson called the protests “therapy sessions for Trump obsessives” and noted that in reality, they only interest “reporters who are paid to cover them.”

In early March, protesters gathered near the White House in Washington, D.C., condemning U.S. strikes on Iran and stating that they did not want the country to be dragged into a new military conflict.
