Corn mazes honoring Dolly Parton created in the US and Canada
This autumn, 20 large corn mazes dedicated to singer, actress and philanthropist Dolly Parton were set up on farms in the United States and Canada. Organizers plan to raise funds for her Imagination Library charitable program, which provides children with books free of charge, Asharq Al-Awsat reports.
Mazes in states and provinces
The mazes are located in about 12 US states and two Canadian provinces, from Alabama and California to Ohio and Texas. Most locations also offer visitors quizzes about Parton, photo areas and other themed entertainment.
The Maize Inc. company from Utah, which designed the mazes, said that preparations for the project began several months before Parton's death. According to the publication, the performer of Jolene died of cancer on August 25 in Nashville at the age of 80. The mazes are part of an annual campaign honoring prominent country music performers: Reba McEntire was featured in 2023, Luke Bryan in 2024 and Lainey Wilson in 2025.

Maze in Connecticut
One of the mazes was set up on five acres of a cornfield near the Twins BBQ Co. restaurant in Brookfield, Connecticut, about 90 kilometers northeast of New York. It recreates a portrait of Parton surrounded by stars and the inscriptions “Dolly” and “An American Treasure.”
The establishment's co-owner, Danielle Gallop, said the most difficult part of the route is the singer's hair because of the numerous narrow passages. According to her, visitors come wearing cowboy boots, hats and T-shirts featuring Parton.
